I just want to acknowledge a bit of unpleasantness that occurred yesterday here at the forum between about 4:30pm and 6:00pm Pacific Time. Some posts were made by a member in a handful of threads that were intentionally inflammatory and contained personal attacks.
Since the posts were hurtful and violated the rules of the forum,

I deleted them and closed the membership of the person who wrote them.
I wish that forums did not have to deal with these kinds of problems, but they crop up now and then. Fortunately such problems are rare.
I have made it a practice to always, always approach a member directly through personal messages if I am concerned about a member's conduct at the forum. Fairness is extremely important to me. If you have any questions or concerns about how such problems are handled, please don't hesitate to contact me.
