I would just like to add that I deeply hope our forum dogs weather Christmas better than Thanksgiving. That was a rough holiday here.

Much love and kindness to those of you missing your pets and family members this year.

                          xoxo, Judi & Jenny

Very thoughtful Judy. When Buddy was so very sick, we didn't trust to leave him in anyone's care as he had difficulty adapting to any minute change to his routine and as a result, even travelling with him became impossible. I sometimes felt sorry for myself for not being able to go out to celebrate my birthday (a landmark 65), our wedding anniversaries, radically cutting back on our social life and I must admit our life became somewhat reclusive.

This year will be my first X-mas without my little man and what I wouldn't give to have him back with us and to gladly go back to that life.

He will be sadly missed and I will keep cherishing the good memories.

                              Louise,

My sentiments exactly. I gave my Abby 10 pills/day, carried her when she was too exhausted to walk, and ran her to ER regularly when she couldn't breathe well. Every once in a while, I felt like...ugh. This will be my first Christmas without her, and I would be very happy to do it all over again.

I know how much you loved Buddy, and I can only say that he was better off for having you as his Mom, and I know if we could ask him, he would share your sentiments toward him.

                              Lots of love,

                              Kevin
