  • Dr. Nancy Kay, veterinarian, writer on DogRead

Dr. Nancy Kay is currently a guest on the Yahoo group DogRead, through 15 March. Should be a lively discussion; already is.

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DogRead/

She's a winner of multiple awards - a very dedicated veterinarian; teaches how to be your dog's medical advocate. Her first book was _Speaking for Spot_; her second, _Your Dog's Best Health_.

I'd guess many of you would like to read at least, and maybe participate as well.

To read, you have to join the group.

She happens to have mentioned diabetes yesterday. Of course, I replied, and mentioned our forum.

Would love to have whoever is interested and has time join me there!

    Love and hugs,

    Carol,

I have joined a similar site to K9 Kitchen. A wonderful site as well, but surrounding nutrition, as well as alternatives to meds... But do you get a ton of e-mails??

Barb - I set some of my Yahoo groups to read on the group site ("no mail") instead of downloading the mail. I've varied this with K9Kitchen; sometimes downloading mail; sometimes not. Yes, there can be a lot of mail!

Actually, the setting I generally use (on Yahoo), rather than "No mail," is "Special Notices," so that if a group owner or moderator sends out a Special Notice (hoping all group members will read it), I will receive that by email.

Incidentally, I ALWAYS use "Traditional" format (which is Plain Text), rather than "Fully Featured." The "Fully-Featured" sends text in HTML (web-page coding) format, using fonts, colors and the like - but it's often NOT what the original poster sent; rather, it's an alteration to the text made by Yahoo. Most especially, Yahoo adds fonts and colors to emails that were originally plain text (I always send in plain text only). And using HTML greatly increases the VOLUME (size) of a post. Sheesh!
