Princess' mom is a full-time college student facing a possible Cushings diagnosis in her already diabetic dog and I thought there might be someone here on the forum who has test strips that they could spare - she's out and can't afford to buy more.

Her meters are a OneTouch UltraMini and an Accucheck Aviva.
If you aren't already a member at the Cushings board, PM or email me and I'll pass the information along and get an email address so you can connect with her.
We are hoping she will postpone Cushings treatment but could still use the test strips either way to monitor the new insulin dose.
Though some of her description certainly sounds like Cushings, at such a small dose of insulin I'm not convinced the diagnosis is accurate.

I hvae a one touch ultramini as well as an accucheck aviva. I have 4 strips left on the one touch, so using them only as an emergency if she gets sick. Thanks so much, I will def. speak more with the vet.
A year ago Princess was diagnosed as diabetic. She was on 3 units twice a day of vetsulin, then 2 weeks later upped to 5 units, and now on 7 units as of a week ago. She is 8-10 years old, weighs 15 pounds. When I got her 3 years ago she was 11 pounds, and got up to almost 18, and has been losing weight in the past months, but looks larger, as her belly is getting quite large. She eats 1 cup of food twice a day of Purina Beneful, weight management formula. Her blood glucose last week was up into 500s, so we upped it to 7 units, and now in the high 200s. I have a glucometer, but out of test strips and money to get them, but plan on it soon, and I do have urine test strips for ketones, but have only used those once, as I have a hard time collecting a sample from her. Her bg has spiked in the past month or so, and her belly was getting big, so I took her in. She is also falling a lot, hind leg weakness, and her tail is turning black, and hair is growing much slower. I am so confused in this process, but am sure we will make it through. I am a full time college student and in a not-high paying job, so the vet lets me make payments, and my balance is already over 400, and growing with her acth tests. My parents are helping me get her lysodren tomorrow to start her on it.
I am scheduled to see the vet again Saturday, what else should I be asking?
