Insulin timing

My dog was stubborn this am and would not eat. Finally she did and had insulin at 10:00 am. Do I have to wait the full 12 htRs for next dose or is an 8 hr interval sufficient

Hard to say how your dog would react because you maybe overlapping the dose with the morning dose

Nobody here knows what kind of regulation you have . I would probably reduce the dose a bit maybe 10 to 20 percent and lean closer to the 20 percent because you will be a sleep

Jesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .
