Welcome Susan and Zeus! You said Zeus is on Vetsulin. Is he getting one injection a day or 2 at 12 hour intervals? A lot of vets start newly diagnosed dogs on only one injection of Vetsulin a day....

There is no set time table for getting your pup regulated, or getting the numbers down. And yes, I'd say you are too anxious :) It takes at least a week of injections for the insulin to settle. ...

13 is a very low dose for a 95 lb pup. But better to go slow, as the others have suggested. I have a 100 lb Rottie, he is on 24 units of Novolin N 2x a day. But we got there...

Here's a link to read about it, this refers to human diabetes, but I've heard some say their dogs have this syndrome too. Maybe google...
