I think raising the dose to what is considered insulin resistant which is your dogs weight total to the amount of insulin for one dose of insulin . An example would be a 10 pound dog getting 10...

That has happened to all of us from time to time .You just give the normal dose at the next shot time . Not much you can do but give plenty of access to water . The numbers should go back down once...

Its not uncommon to see this problem with diabetic dogs .I wish your decision would be easier for you .

My jesse was on deaths bed over 11 years ago with complications from uncontrolled diabetes...

You could make the switch to nph insulin and usually you can buy it from walmart for about $25 without a prescription with syringes and go it alone without a vets supervision which is what I did with...

So at this point you don't exactly know the blood sugar level but its probably high . In the states you can by strips to test for ketones at home which that is something to keep an eye on

Hi and welcome . If the numbers are correct a 300 point swing in blood sugar is fairly substantial so something is out of balance . It could be as simple as the dose being to much causing instability...

The vomiting may point to pancreatitis which can be life threatening . DKA is also possible or both and a vet visit maybe in order. The vet can test for pancreatitis and elevated ketones can help to...

I dont think a tumor on the pancreas would affect regulation because dogs in most cases are type one diabetics and don't naturally produce insulin in general and completely dependent on injected...
