What about pumpkin vs. green beans or pumpkin vs. sweet potatoes when it comes to blood glucose levels? (See my former post about green beans.) Can you give canned pumpkin for a treat, also?

If Mochi just needs fluids without other medications added to the fluids, I don't see why you couldn't stay on the sub q fluids at home. The fluids are the same regardless if they are sub q or IV....

Pippi has never had a uti (knock on wood), but I did think of that as I've read that uti's can cause high blood glucose levels. I think I'll make an appointment with the vet and have some bloodwork...
