Daisy is a 20lb mini schnauzer and I home cook for her and the ingredients are down in the signature.

I measure every ingredient in grams, that way if there is an issue I can narrow it down very...

I use the NOW d-mannose, the cranberry seems to spike my Daisy. She used to get one UTI after another but they have subsided greatly using the d-mannose.
I use about 1/4t in the morning and again...

The best way to manage your dogs glucose is by home monitoring. We can never raise insulin on a high fasting number as it is very dangerous and could possibly be fatal if the glucose numbers run too...

If the dog food is kibble, you may want to try soaking some or all of it so it digests a little easier. Might knock the after dinner spike down.

Daisy does the same thing, almost like clockwork. Right now I've got her down to 4.5 units because all of a sudden each fasting level was creeping higher and higher and her levels were dropping too...

A word of caution on the rapid acting insulin- .25 units brought my 20 lb Schnauzer down to 40 in a matter of an hour. I keep it on hand in case of an emergency but I haven't used it in over a year....
