I have a Schnauzer, too. We are on Vetsulin and after changing a dose his body seems to take a little longer to settle, and start using the new dose effectively. I've seen it take 10-14 days...

I buy the Nature Made 500mg Fish Oil Pearls. They are smaller and my little guy just eats it. Maybe these would work better than the larger ones?

I tested Dasani 2 hours after food and 1/2 unit reduction of Vetsulin (7 1/2)
8:50pm - BG 118(2hrs from injection)

Of course I panicked and fed him more food, about 1/8 c of W/D. ...
