Re: Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks. Her numbers are still kind of high- I am upping her dose a little. I'm glad to see other people's experiences so I know that is OK. We have had a rough couple of months here with Izzie and...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

Still hanging around- not much to post. Izzie was doing really well up until a couple of days ago when she started drinking a lot again, keeping us up all night and acting like she didn't feel good. ...

Re: Antlers

Oooh- glad I saw this! We have some antlers around here that the kids find when camping sometimes.

I also had to add- when our new pup came in one day after I had started decorating, the...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

She is doing well. We are kind of in a routine now, and she knows she will get food after her shot. She is adjusting to her blindness (other than when the puppy ambushes her! :) ) and seems to be...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

I don't have any OneTouch strips right now. I looked at the one I had in a drawer and the strips expired a month ago, so maybe that is why I got the really high readings?

I am giving it a break...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks Natalie. We were using a locally made dog food which was high protein, and I think probably exacerbated her diabetes. It was good for our German Shepherd puppy- who was abandoned and starving...

Re: newbie needs some input

Craig- I just wanted to say Hi! I'm new here too, and learning so much from your thread. You are a great dog dad! I can't keep my Izzie OUT of the food! She has gone completely blind already, but...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks Carol! I will look at those (and probably steal one!) as soon as I get my girl off this morning. She wants to be a vet, so she is being super helpful with Izzie. I didn't think I would ever,...

Re: Thank you, Thank you!

Hi Patty and Craig. Shot went well this morning, and she is a bit more playful than she has been. She lost a lot of weight over the past couple of months, but with the new puppy and us having her on...
