    Margaret,
You may want to try again at top of tail, you have to push the lancet in more. This don't seem to bother Niki

      Kathy,
I have done a curve on Lucy today I even plotted a small chart.
What I would like to know is I done the readings on excel and saved them on the computer. Also scanned the small chart how can I e-mail them to you with an attachment? I was able to send them to Henry tonight but it would save me some work if I could send the attachments to you and you could let everyone else see them.
I would actually value your opinion on them but if I can't do it I will post them
in the forum I am just learning this system Kathy so it is trial and error.
I was so excited today managing to do the curve and getting the blood at the specified times. Please let me know ASAP if I can and more so how?

      LOL

Hi every one Kathy has helped with my chart and I am now posting today's
readings which we think is a bit of rebound according to the last few days readings.

                            Margaret,

What we'd been seeing for the last few days was Lucy getting down to a very nice number at around 6-10 hours after breakfast and insulin, and then promptly rocketing up very quickly within about 2 hours after such a nice number!

What you have for today is an entirely different story from the one Lucy's been telling us the last few days. She went down as expected at her usual point in time, but the number after that--10.8 mmol 194 mg/dl, is just lovely in comparison to the ones she's been giving us at that time!

I'm glad this is Wednesday and you don't see Henry until Friday because it gives us all a couple of more days to keep checking and try to see if Lucy might now be "settling in" to this insulin dose.

                            Today she looks GRAND!

                            Kathy

                              Today's curve is much better!

The other possibility with the curves prior is lack of duration, where the insulin just ran out at 9-10 hours, allowing the blood sugar to climb rapidly. Continued testing will help sort this out.

                              Congratulations on your curves!!

I know you had one in Excel too. Send me the Excel file if you want and I can put up charts from there. k9diabetes@gmail.com

                                Thanks Natalie,
I am still confused with Lucy's numbers. You were saying about the excel I am not that good with it I used it for marking Lucy's readings in on her curve
and I drew a chart myself just too see how it was working out. I just use a book when I am doing everyday readings.
Here are Lucy's readings for today.

                                Thurs 2nd April

                                5:41am (premeal) 22.9mmol (412mg)
                                1:31pm 16 4mmol (295mg)
                                5pm (premeal 22.3mmol (401mg)
                                8:16pm 22.5mmol (405mg)

She has been fine all day out for her walks and quite perky.
She is crashed out now but she is always like this in the evening.
It is very confusing I see Henry tomorrow at 2:30pm to go over everything and do comparisons with the glucometers.

                                LOL
