    Update..Rusty had a vet appointment and all is well.
    It is well worth the extra time and care that these guys need and the changes you have to make in your life because when the results come back that you are doing everything right and they are doing really well it is an amazing feeling.
    Rusty 28lb male mixed breed. 7 1/2 units Humulin N 2x a day,Purina EN Fiber Balance, string beans and 2 cubes of chicken breast as a treat after injection. Afternoon snack of his kibble,string beans and a cube of chicken breast. AlphaTrak 2. Diagnosed with diabetes March 2015.

      Good for Rusty!
      Annie was an 18 pound Lhasa Apso that crossed the rainbow bridge on 10-5-17. She was nearly 17 years old and diabetic for 9½ years.

        yes some time and effort and you will be rewarded for a job well done and of course rusty is a huge help
        Jesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .

                      Maggie - 15 1/2 y/o JRT diagnosed 9/2007, Angel status on 6/20/16. Her mantra was never give up but her body couldn't keep up with her spirit. Someday, baby.......

                        Rusty's 2nd Sugarversary today.
                        Hard to believe it's been two years since first diagnosed.
                        Could have never made it this far without the wonderful knowledgeable people here.
