    Hello!!! What a big thrill to see your post and message...have messaged you back.
    Polly is keeping Lady company across the bridge....she was that one dog in my life.
    Must go check on Cara's update....looking forward to pics of your new family member...

      Hi everybody!

      Update on Cara...we're doing a lot better....She is now on 10 units in AM and 9 PM (had this problem with Caninsulin too in the beginning)
      Today:

      5.25 AM 226 fasting
      7:30 248
      9:30 201
      11.30 199
      3:30 PM 232
      5:30 226

      Way better than those nasty 400's!!!

                Yes, we are both very happy with these #'s!! Drinking is back to normal and Cara is herself again! Even playing with her buddy!!! It's nice to see a turn around like this, after 15 days on NPH!

                            That really is a nice flat curve. Are you planning to increase the dosage to try to get the numbers even lower (into the 100's) or is this a perfect range for our diabetic babies?
                            Karen & Sammie 65 lb Female Golden Retriever/Collie 12 years old. Addisons and diabetes diagnosed June, 2011. 15 U am/ 8 U pm Novolin N & 2 mg of Prednisone/day. 3 cups Nature's Variety Limited Ingredient Lamb split into 4x a day feedings.

                              I think these numbers look absolutely wonderful and wouldn't change a thing...
                              Soaphie = 15 yr old Border/Berner mix dx 07/08. ~8.25 units a.m./p.m. vetsulin, blind/deaf. Ultra Senior, Vital Beef/Bison, Brown Rice and lots of loving. Soaphie passed on October 29, 2015. Sydney = 14.5 yr old Aussie/Shar Pei mix dx 11/10. NPH-varies w/ predinisone a.m./p.m., blind/deaf. Sydney passed on June 3, 2014.

                                We are staying for a while at this level. Had her tighter on Caninsulin (90 - 198), but that was then and this is now! Besides...she is getting enough of all the testing....she needs a rest!!
