He was licking himself on the weekend and it was a little gunky but seems to be better now, I think a small infection, not sure, affected his readings I believe.

Overall I think he is getting better and better as I adjust, still not seeing a big drop in BG's in afternoon from higher levels of Humalog in the morning but slowly perhaps...

Hey Geoff,
I highlighted the times I knew were injection times. Not sure on the other days. You seem to have lower numbers at PM fasting which could be a result of the Protaphane not have to work so hard and remaining active with the Humalog at injection time.

It looks like you could increase the Humalog slightly but might have to decrease the Protaphane as well to prevent later lows at least during the day. Do you usually feed/inject 3 hours earlier in the PM?

Hello all, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year!! 2013 already!! It's been hot here in Canberra, between 86-100F during the day, at night slightly milder.

Anyhow, here are the latest curves, it takes me ages to upload as I don't have a data cable for my meter! I have ordered one but I said it was for my dog so....we'll have to see if it turns up! I have been doing a lot of testing as I'm on holiday last day today :-( but he has been a bit erratic, not sure if the heat affects him, maybe, he is short haired at the moment though and is inside in the Air Conditioning so.....

much better from where hes been and just glancing at all of them together and not focusing to hard it appears that is numbers are generally improving over the period of you vacation

Hi Geoff, It does look as though you are moving in the right direction. It looks like most times he is having his nadir around 6ish which is nice as you are probably home then. You kept him in a nice range on the 23rd.

I wonder if part of his problem is partially food rise and partially not putting the insulin to work soon enough. I have approached that differently at different times. I have sometimes given Ruby's NPH as much as one hour before feeding.

Looks like you are doing a great job! His numbers are def improving - there will always be days when they go higher maybe it's the heat?? Like Franklins mum Jane suggested let them swim instead of taking them for a walk. It's not crazy hot here YET but yesterday I brought CJ to the beach or a swim as it was hot.
