Question re excessive urination
My 11 year old female Rottweiler was just diagnosed two days ago with diabetes. She was having seizures, which the vet does not believe is caused from the diabetes. She is now on insulin twice a day and anti seizure medication twice a day. She has been urinating excessively. Is this normal in the whole regulation process?

Tell us a little more about your girl. Weight? Type of insulin? Current dosage? Feeding and injecting at the same time, 12 hours apart?
Frequent / uncontrolled urination is common in uncontrolled diabetes. It should improve as her blood glucose improves.
CraigAnnie was an 18 pound Lhasa Apso that crossed the rainbow bridge on 10-5-17. She was nearly 17 years old and diabetic for 9½ years.
