Marksman Green Bag dog food

m not sure if anyone on this board feeds Marksman Green Bag. But I just bought a new bag this evening and 1 1/2 hours after feeding tonight I lost my entire kennel. I had enough time to get them to my Vet and he ran stool and all blood work and found nothing wrong. He is haveing me take the bodies to MU to a pathologists specialist first thing in the morning so they can do a full autopsy. Plus do a work up on the feed as well he thinks the feed was TOXIC! I dont want to scare anyone but just dont want this to happen to anyone else is all. . . . .

Right now, if you read the thread, the food is undergoing testing. What we also don't know is who makes this brand of dog food--that would also be helpful so that people can avoid it.

According to this, Marksman is owner by Cargill.

Cargill's website shows that it makes Nutrena and Loyall pet foods--nothing said about Marksman.

But if you look at this undated test of all Missouri feed mills done by the state of Missouri, you will see Cargill and Marksman Dog Food 28/18 listed on page 24. Two samples of it were taken and both passed all state tests.

I'm not sure "Green Bag" is the real name of the Marksman product--it may be the OP's name for it--it may have a name as the variety above which passed the MO tests.

If/when more is known, I'll post it here and hope anyone else who has information will do the same.

As of now, we don't have anything new that can be confirmed. My understanding is that there would be testing, but no idea how long it will be to get results.

Am also aware that the information is being passed along to other pet message boards, so the word's being spread to watch out.

There have not been any recalls of any Cargill pet products or others either.
