Hey yall!
My terrier has fatty deposits called lypomas on his body, especially on his sides. He is almost 15, and its due to age, harmless fatty lumps.
We usually give his shots on his sides, but have noticed his leveles are higher lately and he is drinking water. I read injecting into fatty areas can SLOW abosrption of insulin. Is this true? and why??
I saw the chart on injection sites you suggest, so we will try scruff again, but he always moves a lot, so sides were eaiser.
What is the IDEAL area for injections? If cant do fatty area (sides) should I work around those sites? Still do sides of body, but avoid the fat lumps?
Thanks!
Don B.
