I have done quarter units . Does the syringes you have half unit markings ? If so it's very simple to quarter dose . I have even accomplished an 8th of a unit by dosing on either side of the line

There is nothing that says a diabetic dog has a specific kind of regulation . Everyone is different . Some take longer than others

My Jesse never showed any problems at lower levels. Dogs maybe more resilient to the affects of low sugar . There tolerance for pain is high from what I see . You do have to consider those numbers...

Placing importance on the shape of a curve and nadir is not really important in k9 diabeties . The lowest number can be at the 12 hour mark before food and insulin and it can be the high point .

My 90 year old mom had dental work done and she took it hard and passed a month later . Now I can't say that was the reason for her passing but it may show how any procedure is hard on the elderly ....

your thought process may sound logical but saying eating one certain kind of food and amount would gather the same dosing total but with testing you can see how it goes and adjust when necessary ....

No meter is perfect including dog specific but it will give you an overall trend in blood sugar and it will tell you if you dogs...
