Raising the dose without doing a curve first is dangerous!

Making one change at a time then waiting 7 days to do a curve then increase or decrease by the lowest number

Theres evidence half hour after food the blood sugar goes up meaning theres too much food.
The insulin an hour and half after injection isnt meeting up with the food as it reads hi.

Switch insulin to novolin nph. Drop back one whole unit as its more concentrated.

Just a suggestion that doesnt look like its been changed is the food.

Check bg frequently if your adding back in the prednisone. Bg can drop.

I wouldnt advice raising the insulin until you least try tweeking the food or and changing insulin.

Thats a good plan.
A vet that doesnt do full curves then adjusts insulin accordingly is not. For your dog.
Putting a small dog on a very strong insulin is wrong.
I wouldnt waste your time on this...

also finding the right amount of a quality food is equally important. same food every 12 hours
