Re: what is urin strips
You use urine strips to monitor Blood Glucose when you don't have a monitor. You also use urine strips to look for ketones, which can be deadly to a dog. Ketones can appear when a dogs Blood Glucose runs high for an extended period. It can put an animal into kidney failure. You can buy them at your local pharmacy.

Re: what is urine strips
Urine glucose test strips have a very limited value. They don't tell much and can be misleading. Ketone test strips have a value if your dog has very high blood glucose. Testing blood is much more informative.
