Hi Ya'll!
My 19 pound terrier mix has diabetes for about a year now. We started on Humulin for about 6 months, and werent getting his BG's under control. So we went to a specialist and he put our little guy in Levimeer.
All was good, until recently, when his BG's were high at night, and he is drinking a lot of water again.
Could it be old insulin?
We buy Levemir every three months, keep in fridge. The pharmasist and pharmaceutical company says up to 90 days, once opend.
This stuff is VERY costly! $130 at Wal-Mart.
Anyone experience this with Levemir?
Cheaper to use Flexpen?
Smaller Levemir bottles? Ideas?

Levemir 3 units am/pm
Food:Before grain wet food mixed with Hills R/D wet
And
Natural Balance dry with 1 sardine
Home test with Alpha Track
