    Well, her bg spiked after her 2nd meal on more insulin today to 360s. Had to give some Humalog around 1pm and she rose again when that wore off to a fasting of 377. Sigh. One step forward two steps back.

    Her noodle legs returned this afternoon. Tim had trouble waking her around 4pm.

    Increased insulin slightly and she let me use her Left side again tonight, which I think absorbs better than her right.

    Tim also took care of her (which is major full time job) this afternoon while I slept for 2 hours. Was soooooo needed and wonderful of him.

      Good evening everyone, this is my first post here, but I have been reading this fourm for a long time. I watch with great interest the interaction between all of you and my Wife about our pup Ali.

      I just wanted to make my first post here to wish my wonderful loving wife a very Happy Birthday ( I think this is her 29th.....)!

      Now I am off to hide before she finds this!

        Hi Tim and Happy Birthday Patty! 2 hours of sleep and your husband home seem like a good part of the day!
        Jenny: 6/6/2000 - 11/10/2014 She lived with diabetes and cushings for 3 1/2 years. She was one of a kind and we miss her.

          Jesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .
          Jesse earned her wings on 6/21/2021

                    OMG Tim, what a guy. You just won us all over. I think we like you already almost as much as we like your wife and love your dog.

                    Happy Birthday Patty.

                    On another note, I imagine the late day wobbliness could be from general weakness and maybe having more activity then she has in awhile. Here's hoping.

                    She was a courageous Boston Terrier who marched right on through diabetes, megaesophagus, and EPI until 14.
                    Lucky for both of us we found each other. I'd do it all again girly.

                        I'm so glad that Ali is having a bit better of a time! I worry so over her (and you and Tim)! Can't tell we've all become rather attached, can you? Thinking good thoughts your way! Puppy kisses to all from Hank!
                        Shell and Hank (aka Mr. Pickypants) - now deceased (4/29/1999 - 12/4/2015) Cairn Terrier mix who was diagnosed 8/18/2011 and on .75 U Levemir 2Xday. Miss you little man!

                            I have to say - when I first saw the screen name Denali and the avatar (before reading the post) I was thinking - geez, that dog REALLY looks like Ali - is this her twin?
                            Soaphie = 15 yr old Border/Berner mix dx 07/08. ~8.25 units a.m./p.m. vetsulin, blind/deaf. Ultra Senior, Vital Beef/Bison, Brown Rice and lots of loving. Soaphie passed on October 29, 2015. Sydney = 14.5 yr old Aussie/Shar Pei mix dx 11/10. NPH-varies w/ predinisone a.m./p.m., blind/deaf. Sydney passed on June 3, 2014.

                                Anne-Marie and CJ Westie , Born 13 Jan 2004, dx May 2012, Weight 9.5kg, 6 iu Caninsulin Twice daily. Mixture of food - baby formula and mixture of chicken and vegetables . 4-6 feeds a day due to pancreatitis which is under control.
