Can C eye drops for dogs..

Has anyone tried the CanC eye drops for dogs with cateracts?..the reviews are pretty good..wondered if you have them removed or have tried something else first..I don't think my sugar has them yet but reading up on the options...

there is no scientific evidence that cataracts can be eliminated without removing the lens surgically but can the progress be slowed or stopped with using things like can C .?like you said reviews have been good but thats not scientific

my point if it does no harm than i dont see a problem using it . my jesse has stayed cataract free for her 7 years being diabetic ( knock on wood ) there probably is a reason but she isnt telling me .

i had a neighbor who is a bit of a witch doctor . her dog was developing cataracts and had some concoction that had a mixture of cyan pepper and other things prepared a certain way and i believe put into her dogs eyes but maybe it was given internally dont know for sure but looking into the dogs eyes they were quite clear so who knows for sure . the medical community has nothing on the market at this time

the key to anything is you just dont want to do harm and make thing worse and if you can guarantee that then its ok to try

i do think its a possibility that maybe the lens gets dried out from the high sugar so maybe keeping them moist might help but once again i have no scientific backup on that

The original drops, developed by a Russian researcher who now lives in America, have been around for some time. They are safe to use. I have personally tried them in my own eyes and have used them with Scooter, although neither of us has full blown cataracts.

If Scooter or I was to begin to develop them, I would start using the drops immediately, as a preventive measure. They sting a bit going in, but that's all. I feel they're worth the try. They are not that expensive and they will not do any harm IMHO.

There have been efforts by some major pharmaceutical companies to develop similar drops but I have not heard of anything being released recently. There may be patent issues holding them up, who knows. Cataract surgery is the #1 surgery performed in America so there is a lot of $$ at stake. Eye docs (animal or human) are not about to recommend $35 drops, which might help, over $5000 eye operations.

Just make sure to get the real CanC drops as there are imitations out there.
