Not sure if anyone is interested but here goes anyway.
I had purchased some (human) sam e for Buddy and he hadn't started it before he passed away. I thought what the heck so I have been taking it until it ran out last month. I have Osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis and am taking some pretty unfriendly drugs so I have monthly blood tests. Well, my liver function numbers have jumped in the last month since I stopped the sam e.
AST was 23 now 41 (<35)
ALT was 34 now 68 (<40)
I have restarted the sam e and will be very interested in the numbers next month.

Since it is so hard on the liver plus costly, we decided to stop it. She gets Tramadol as needed, gluco/cond w/msm, salmon oil, SAMe and today will start Vit E. Once she is adjusted to the Vit E addition, I plan to start increasing her Omega 3's and 6's. I've been collecting ideas and input from folks for a bit now and continue to research them as options for Ruby. And of course diet assistance.
