    I agree Barb. If she could've spoken English Tim would have been done for. I used to give him a hard time about teasing Ali.

      Great videos, Patty! Show how diabetic dogs are still normal dogs at heart. Ali did have big beautiful eyes. Her pictures and videos always make me think how you could look right into her soul through those eyes. Hoping having the videos and pictures to reflect back on help ease some of those more difficult days.

        Hey all, Tim and I are headed out of state Friday-Tuesday before the chaos ensues with more traveling for recon of our new place and moving prep. Hopefully I'll be able to check in from time to time. Will definitely take my girl's tags and be wishing she could go with us!

          Jesse-26 lbs - 16.5 years old ,11 years diabetic, one meal a day homemade and a vitabone snack . 3 shots of Novolin( under the Relion name ) a day . Total insulin for a 24 hour period is 6.5 units of NPH insulin .
          Jesse earned her wings on 6/21/2021

              Jeb & Glennys - 10-year-old collie mix, 54 lbs., diagnosed June 2012. 11.5 units Novolin N twice a day. Tested with Relion Prime and AlphaTrak2. Eats Hills WD.

                    Thanks all! We are headed up to MT for a few days. I've been wanting to go while we are so close and didn't think we could make it happen. We had someone offer their place for us to stay and decided that was incentive to squeeze it in anyway

                        Had safe travels to MT but have come back to some devastating fires in CO. Several families we know have been evacuated and we are worried the family that offered their vacation place to us in MT may have lost their house today. Praying that's not the case as it hasn't been confirmed yet.

                        These next few months are going to be a bit crazy for us with the moving process. We are traveling to IL this weekend so Tim can see his grandparents before starting his new job (and the lack of time that goes with that). I also have 2 more trips to KY coming up in July before the final move.

                        Trying to check in as often as I can to stay updated. Many thanks to Craig for picking up the moderator slack when Natalie's busy as well, and to the great members who jump in and help those who are new to navigating canine diabetes

                          Soaphie = 15 yr old Border/Berner mix dx 07/08. ~8.25 units a.m./p.m. vetsulin, blind/deaf. Ultra Senior, Vital Beef/Bison, Brown Rice and lots of loving. Soaphie passed on October 29, 2015. Sydney = 14.5 yr old Aussie/Shar Pei mix dx 11/10. NPH-varies w/ predinisone a.m./p.m., blind/deaf. Sydney passed on June 3, 2014.

                                Thanks all. Our friends' homes are still standing thus far. Really could use a break from the wind. Humidity is at least out of the single digits now.
