    Update: Bloodwork came back pretty good! Organs and blood counts were good but his thyroid was a little below normal so we will do an add on thyroid test and see the results from that test. Glucose was showing elevated but no surprise there for what was going on. No pancreatitis. So far no more vomit thank god, and getting him to eat much is still a battle! He wants to eat what HE wants to eat and not necessarily his food! Dinner is a little easier than breakfast of course but this mommy will never give up on him no matter how trying and challenging it is!
    Shasta - 10 year old Japanese Chin, diagnosed with Diabetes December 2013. Currently at 8.5 units of Novolin N insulin twice daily. Still working on being regulated! On Hills Prescription G/D canned food with boiled chicken breast and topped with 1/2 egg whites and peas... Has a history of calcium oxalate stones, liver issues and pancreatitis.

      i,m wondering can he eat what his sister eats the Natural Balance. doesnt seem he likes and gobbles up the precription food?

        I wish it was that easy as to feed him what she eats, but he has other issues other than diabetes. He also has calcium oxalate stones and therefore that in itself is a very restricted diet. I've been using other canned foods low in protein/fat as a topper to his food to get him to eat.
